Outdure Academy — Training Disclaimer
Document ID: ACADEMY-PUB-03 · Version: 2026.09.2 · Effective: 7 September 2026 · Provider: Outdure International Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong with limited liability · Registered office: available from academy@outdure.com on request · Contact: academy@outdure.com
This disclaimer applies to every Outdure Academy learner, and to anyone else who relies on the fact that an installer completed Academy training. It is shown at the start of each course as well as published here.
1. Training content is informational
All Academy course content — video, written material, assessments and guidelines — is provided for general informational and training purposes only. It reflects our published installation instructions, technical manuals and design guidelines current as at the course version you completed. It is not a substitute for:
- reading and following the specific, current installation instructions for the actual product you are installing;
- site-specific engineering, structural or code assessment where that is required; or
- your own professional judgement on a specific site.
Where course content and our current published installation instructions differ, the installation instructions govern.
2. Site conditions and codes vary
Training content describes general installation principles for our own products. It cannot address every site condition, substrate, climate or local building-code requirement. You remain solely responsible for identifying and complying with the codes, consents, permits and inspections that apply at your site; for assessing site-specific conditions (soil, structure, load, exposure) that general training does not address; and for engaging a licensed engineer or other appropriate professional where the work falls outside our standard published scope or requires professional sign-off under your local law.
3. Completing training is not a qualification
Completing an Outdure Academy course, module or assessment does not make you a certified, accredited, qualified or licensed professional in any trade, and does not satisfy any trade-licensing, registration or building-code requirement anywhere. Academy statuses are our own internal recognition levels. No accrediting body, licensing authority or independent third party sits behind any of them.
4. What we teach, and what we do not
4.1 We publish information about our products — how our systems are intended to be assembled, what the components do, where installations typically go wrong, and what the instructions require.
4.2 We do not teach, publish or prescribe a method of running an installation business. We do not publish a pricing guide, a labour rate, a quoting method, a sales or lead-conversion method, a marketing plan or a business system, and nothing in Academy is to be read as one. What you charge, how you sell, how you schedule and how you run your business are entirely yours.
5. Training does not shift liability in either direction
5.1 Completing Academy training, at any level, does not transfer, delegate or reduce any product-liability responsibility the manufacturer or the warranty issuer holds for our products. Warranty obligations and product-liability exposure exist independently of who installed a system and of whatever Academy status that person held.
5.2 Equally, completing Academy training does not transfer any part of your responsibility — for workmanship, site safety or compliance with local codes — to us. You remain an independent business, or an employee of one, at every status level, and never our agent or employee.
6. No supervision duty
6.1 Nothing in Academy creates any duty on us to supervise, direct, schedule, inspect or approve any installation by any learner at any status level.
6.2 Our role is limited to publishing training content and, for Verified status, reviewing submitted documentation against our own published installation instructions. That documentation review is not a site inspection, a safety audit or a quality-assurance function, and we do not represent it as one. A completed Verified review confirms that the specific submitted project, as documented, appeared to conform to our published installation instructions at the time of review. It is not a statement about any other project, past or future, and it is not an ongoing assurance about the installer.
7. Academy status and product warranty
Any product warranty, and the conditions on which it applies, is governed by the applicable QwickBuild warranty terms — not by Academy. Holding an Academy status does not by itself approve an installation, establish that it complied with the then-current published installation instructions, or guarantee a warranty claim. No promotional labour benefit is offered at general availability.
8. If something in the training is wrong
If you believe any Academy content is factually incorrect, out of date, or inconsistent with our current published installation instructions or technical manuals, tell us at academy@outdure.com. We review reported issues and, where an issue has safety implications, we notify affected learners.
9. Course versions change
We update course content as products and instructions change. Your record shows the course version you completed. Where a change is material, you may need to complete an updated module before your status covers the changed component — see the Academy Assessment and Revocation Policy.
Governing law and disputes are set out in the Academy Jurisdiction Overlays, which apply to this document as if set out in it in full. Nothing here limits a right you have under the law of your own country that cannot lawfully be excluded.
