Outdure Academy — Code of Conduct
Document ID: ACADEMY-PUB-05 · Version: 2026.09.2 · Effective: 7 September 2026 · Provider: Outdure International Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong with limited liability · Registered office: available from academy@outdure.com on request · Contact: academy@outdure.com
This Code sits alongside the Academy Participation Terms and applies whenever you take part in Outdure Academy — online, in a live or recorded session, in a discussion forum or group, at a training venue or demonstration site, or in any Academy channel we operate.
The Participation Terms are the agreement. This Code describes the behaviour we expect and how we respond when it does not happen. Where the two cover the same ground, the Participation Terms prevail. This Code adds nothing to your account, status or licence position and takes nothing away from it, and it creates no separate power to change your status — every status decision is made under the Academy Assessment and Revocation Policy.
1. What we expect
1.1 Treat people decently. Learners, instructors, moderators, venue staff and other trades on a site are entitled to be treated with respect. No harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats or abuse; no sexual harassment; no slurs or hostility directed at anyone's race, colour, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other personal characteristic.
1.2 Keep it professional. Academy is a trade training environment. Keep discussion relevant, and keep language and material you post appropriate for a workplace.
1.3 Be honest. Give us accurate information about who you are, who you work for and your trade role, and keep it current. Do not misrepresent your experience, your licensing or your insurance — to us, to another learner, or to a customer.
1.4 Work safely. In a practical session, at a venue or on a demonstration site, follow the site's safety rules, the instructor's directions and your own jurisdiction's safety requirements, and use the protective equipment the activity requires. Do not take part in a practical activity while impaired. Safety directions are not optional, and we will end a session or remove someone on the spot where safety requires it.
1.5 Do your own assessments. Complete assessments personally, without impersonation, unauthorised collaboration or an unauthorised aid, unless an assessment is marked open-resource. Do not share questions or answers, and do not complete an assessment for someone else.
1.6 Respect course content. Course content is licensed to you view-only. Do not download, record, screen-capture, redistribute or re-post it, and do not use it to build a competing training programme. Do not post anyone else's copyright material into an Academy channel without permission.
1.7 Respect other people's information. Do not share another learner's personal information, photographs of them, or their assessment results. Where a project photograph shows a customer's property, get that customer's agreement first.
1.8 Describe your status accurately. Use the status names exactly as the Academy Tier Definitions and Criteria define them, and follow the Academy Verified Badge Use and Representation Standard. Do not describe yourself or your business as certified, accredited, qualified, licensed, approved, authorised, vetted or endorsed on the strength of Academy participation. Completing a course is not a professional qualification and does not satisfy any licensing requirement. Holding the licences, registrations and insurance your jurisdiction requires stays your own responsibility.
1.9 Do not hold yourself out as us. You are an independent business, or an employee of one. Taking part in Academy and holding any status does not make you our employee, agent, franchisee, representative or subcontractor, and you must not say or imply that it does — to a customer, in marketing, on a quotation or in a dispute. Do not speak for us, do not commit us to anything, and do not use our name, logo or marks except as expressly permitted.
1.10 Do not misuse the platform. No attempts to access another learner's account or records, no interference with assessment-integrity or content-protection mechanisms, no malicious code, no unlawful use.
2. Selling, recruiting and self-promotion
Academy channels are for training. Do not use a course, forum, group or session to advertise a competing product or training programme, to sell to other learners, or to recruit their staff. Sharing what worked on a job, including which products you used, is part of the point; a promotional post is not.
3. Forums and groups
Where we operate a forum or group, moderators may edit, hide or remove a post, or lock a thread, that breaches this Code, and may act on a report without publishing its detail. If you think a moderation decision was wrong, raise it at academy@outdure.com rather than re-posting. A moderation decision is not a status decision; where a matter could affect your status, the Academy Assessment and Revocation Policy applies.
4. Reporting a concern
4.1 If you experience or witness a breach of this Code — particularly harassment or a safety issue — report it to academy@outdure.com, or to the instructor or venue contact if it is happening in a session. Tell us what happened, when, where and who was involved.
4.2 In a practical session, report a safety concern immediately to the instructor or venue contact.
4.3 We handle a report as confidentially as we reasonably can, sharing it only with people who need it to look into the matter, and we handle personal information in it as described in the Academy Learner Privacy Notice. We cannot always promise anonymity — sometimes the person concerned has to know enough to respond — and where that is the case we will tell you before we proceed, where we can.
4.4 No retaliation. Do not retaliate against someone for making a good-faith report or taking part in a review of one. Retaliation is itself a breach. Making a report you know to be false is also a breach. We will never suspend, downgrade or revoke a status because someone made a good-faith report or took part in reviewing one.
5. How we respond to a breach
5.1 What we do depends on what happened and how serious it is. We may talk with you informally; issue a warning; remove or moderate a post; remove you from a session, forum or venue; or start a status decision.
5.2 Anything affecting your status goes through the process. A suspension, downgrade, revocation, listing removal or ending of enrolment is made only under the Academy Assessment and Revocation Policy — on a ground stated in it, with written notice of the ground and the material relied on, at least 14 days for you to reply, a decision by someone who did not investigate, written reasons, and an appeal to someone not involved in the original decision.
5.3 Immediate action for safety. Where a breach involves an immediate safety risk, we may suspend or remove you immediately while we look into it. That is an interim step, not a finding, and the full process follows straight away.
5.4 You will be heard. Before a decision that ends your enrolment or changes your status, we will tell you what we understand to have happened and give you a fair chance to respond — unless immediate action is needed under 5.3, in which case we do it as soon as practical afterwards.
6. Nothing here replaces the law or your own obligations
This Code does not replace the law of your jurisdiction, your employer's policies, a site's safety rules, or your own licensing and insurance obligations, and nothing in it limits a right you have that cannot be excluded. Where a serious matter may be a criminal offence or a reportable workplace-safety incident, we may report it to the appropriate authority, and you may do so yourself regardless of anything in this Code.
7. Changes
We may update this Code. A material update carries a new version number and effective date.
Governing law and disputes are set out in the Academy Jurisdiction Overlays, which apply to this document as if set out in it in full.
