Outdure Academy — Assessment and Revocation Policy
Document ID: ACADEMY-PUB-08 · Version: 2026.09.1 · Effective: 7 September 2026 · Provider: Outdure International Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong with limited liability · Registered office: available from academy@outdure.com on request · Contact: academy@outdure.com
This policy sets out how assessments are marked and appealed, and — the more consequential half — how an Academy status can be suspended, downgraded or revoked, and what protections you have when we do it.
An Academy status is not decorative. For a Verified installer it carries a public badge, a directory listing and referred enquiries, and losing it can cost real work. A power to take that away is only defensible if it is exercised on stated grounds, with notice, with a genuine opportunity to reply, and with an appeal to someone who did not make the first decision. That is what this policy commits us to, in every case.
Part A — Assessments
A1. Marking
A1.1 Assessments are marked against the published pass standard for the course version you took. Certain questions are marked as safety-relevant and must be answered correctly for a module to count as complete.
A1.2 You may retake a failed assessment under the retake rules published for that course. A retake replaces the earlier attempt for the purpose of your status; both attempts remain on your record.
A2. Integrity
A2.1 An integrity breach means impersonation, someone else completing an assessment for you, unauthorised collaboration, use of an unauthorised aid in an assessment not marked open-resource, sharing assessment questions or answers, or submitting false or altered documentation for a Verified review.
A2.2 Where we suspect an integrity breach we will tell you what we suspect and what it is based on, and give you a fair chance to respond, before we act — except where the matter also involves an immediate safety risk, in which case Part B's interim-suspension rules apply.
A2.3 Where a breach is established, the outcomes available are: voiding the affected assessment result; requiring a supervised retake; voiding a completion record obtained through the breach; and, where the breach affected a status, a status decision under Part B.
A3. Appealing a marking decision
A3.1 You may appeal a marking or integrity decision by writing to academy@outdure.com within 28 days of being told of it, saying what you think is wrong and why.
A3.2 The appeal is considered by someone who did not make the original decision. We aim to respond within 21 days, and will tell you if it will take longer and why.
Part B — Suspension, downgrade and revocation of a status
B1. Scope
B1.1 This Part applies to every decision to suspend, downgrade or revoke a Registered, Trained or Verified status, to remove a directory listing, or to end an enrolment. A Strategic Partner arrangement is governed by its own written agreement, not by this Part.
B1.2 No other document creates a power to change your status. The Code of Conduct describes behaviour and outcomes; the decision itself is always made under this Part.
B2. The grounds — a closed list
We may suspend, downgrade or revoke a status only on one or more of these grounds:
| # | Ground | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fraud or dishonesty in obtaining or keeping the status | Impersonation, an assessment-integrity breach, or false, altered or misattributed installation documentation submitted for a Verified review. |
| 2 | A confirmed installation safety failure attributable to you | An installation you carried out is established, through a claim, remediation review or other reliable process, to have failed in a way caused by installation that did not comply with the installation instructions you were trained on. |
| 3 | An unresolved remediation flag | A specific, identified installation issue we have raised with you, which remains unresolved after we have told you what it is and given you a reasonable period to resolve it. |
| 4 | A serious or repeated breach of the Participation Terms or the Code of Conduct | Including misrepresenting your status, licensing or insurance; using a prohibited term about yourself after being asked to stop; holding yourself out as us; or harassment or a safety breach in a session or at a venue. |
| 5 | Misuse of the badge, the directory listing or a referred enquiry | Including using the badge outside the permission given, or after the permission has ended. |
| 6 | Loss of a legal prerequisite | Where you no longer hold a trade licence or registration that the law of your own jurisdiction requires for the work, and the status would misrepresent that. |
| 7 | A product-version lapse | A material product or instruction change for which you have not completed the updated module. This is a conditional lapse for the changed component only — not a revocation, and it ends when you complete the module. |
| 8 | You ask us to, or you close your account |
B2.1 Grounds we will not use. We will not suspend, downgrade or revoke a status because you declined to buy something; because of the volume or value of what you buy; because you made a complaint or a good-faith report under the Code of Conduct, or took part in reviewing one; because you exercised a legal right; because you work with a competing product; or for any reason not on the list above.
B2.2 Standard. We act on a ground only where, on the material available to us, we consider it more likely than not to be made out.
B3. The process
B3.1 Notice. Before making a decision we will write to you setting out: the ground we are considering; what we understand to have happened; the material we are relying on (or, where we cannot share a document — for example because it would identify someone who reported a safety concern — a fair summary of what it says); the outcomes we are considering; and the date by which you may reply.
B3.2 Your reply. You have 14 days from the date of that notice to reply, in writing or, if you ask, by a call we will record in writing afterwards. You may say anything you want us to take into account, correct anything you say is wrong, provide your own material, and have someone with you or reply through a representative. We will extend the 14 days on a reasonable request.
B3.3 Who decides. The decision is made by someone who did not carry out the investigation. That person considers your reply before deciding.
B3.4 The decision. We will write to you with the decision, which ground it is made on, the main reasons for it, what it means in practice and from when, what you need to do about the badge and any listing, how to appeal and by when, and what — if anything — would let you regain the status.
B3.5 Time. We aim to decide within 21 days of receiving your reply, and will tell you if it will take longer and why.
B4. Interim suspension
B4.1 We may suspend a status, a listing or an account immediately, before the process in B3 is complete, only where the matter involves an apparent immediate safety risk or apparent fraud, and only for as long as necessary.
B4.2 Where we do that, we will write to you on the same day or the next business day telling you what we have done and why, we will start the B3 process straight away, and we will aim to complete it within 14 days. An interim suspension is not a finding against you and we will not describe it as one.
B5. Appeal
B5.1 You may appeal any decision under this Part by writing to academy@outdure.com within 28 days of the decision, saying what you think we got wrong.
B5.2 The appeal is decided by someone who was not involved in the investigation or the original decision.
B5.3 On appeal you may put forward new material, including something that has changed since the decision. The appeal is a fresh look at the merits, not a review limited to procedure.
B5.4 We aim to give a written appeal outcome, with reasons, within 28 days. The appeal outcome may confirm, vary, substitute a lesser outcome for, or set aside the original decision.
B5.5 Where an appeal succeeds, we restore the status, the listing and the badge permission promptly, correct our records, and — where we told a third party the status had been withdrawn — tell that third party of the outcome.
B5.6 Bringing an appeal does not affect any other legal right you have, and nothing in this policy requires you to appeal before taking any step you are legally entitled to take.
B6. Effect of a decision
B6.1 Forward-looking. A revocation, downgrade or lapse takes effect from the date stated in the decision and looks forward. It does not retrospectively remove a completion record for training you actually completed, and it does not retrospectively affect a warranty claim for an installation you carried out while you validly held the status.
B6.2 The one exception. Where the ground is fraud (ground 1) and the fraud is what created the appearance of the status for a specific past installation, the promotional benefit tied to the status for that specific installation may be reassessed as though the status had never validly been held for it. This exception never touches any product warranty, which is governed by the applicable QwickBuild warranty terms — see section 10 of the Participation Terms.
B6.3 Badge and listing. On revocation or downgrade your directory listing is removed and your permission to use the badge or the status description ends. You must stop using it within 30 days, including on vehicles, signage, printed material, quotations and social media.
B6.4 Regaining a status. Unless the decision says otherwise, you may re-apply. Where the ground was 2, 3, 5 or 6, you may re-apply once the underlying matter is resolved. Where the ground was 1, you may re-apply after 12 months, and we will require full re-qualification.
B7. Our own obligations
B7.1 We record every decision, including a decision not to act. Where we receive a complaint, a claim or information suggesting a ground may exist, we record what we received, what we did about it, and the outcome — including where the outcome is "reviewed, no action needed, because…". A power we hold and do not exercise is a decision, and it is recorded as one.
B7.2 We keep the underlying record. Every status grant and every status decision is recorded with the date, the person deciding, the ground and the material relied on. See the Academy Learner Records and Employer Access Policy.
B7.3 We apply this policy consistently, on the grounds in B2 and no others, and we do not treat the power as unfettered.
Governing law and disputes are set out in the Academy Jurisdiction Overlays, which apply to this document as if set out in it in full. Nothing in this policy limits a right you have under the law of your own country that cannot lawfully be excluded.
